New Client Testimonials<\/span><\/p>\n After a bad experience with my floors\u2014and with the contractor who caused the damage dismissing the problems we clearly saw and heard when walking across them\u2014I began reaching out to professionals in the industry and asking how to handle the situation. Multiple companies all pointed me to the same person: Steve Johnston. They told me, \u201cHe\u2019s the guy you want inspecting your floors. He\u2019ll tell you exactly what\u2019s going on, even if it\u2019s not what you want to hear\u2014and he\u2019ll probably uncover more than you expect.\u201d<\/p>\n When Steve arrived at our home, I expected someone intimidating based on the way people talked about his expertise. Instead, he was incredibly pleasant, reassuring, and walked me through how the inspection would go. He spent the time needed to evaluate everything thoroughly. From the moment he started, he immediately recognized the damage\u2014and even discovered that the boards had been sanded all the way down to the tongue. I didn\u2019t think that was possible, especially since the floors were brand new and had never been stained. Steve identified issues simply by the cracking noise the wood made when walked on. When we pulled up a board, he was absolutely right: the previous contractor had sanded far too aggressively. He also pointed out several other concerns I never would have known to look for.<\/p>\n His final report was extremely detailed, clear, and professional. Because of Steve\u2019s expertise, I was able to hire a reputable company to remove the damaged flooring and refinish everything properly. Not only did they get the color right the FIRST time, my floors was left in near perfect condition and we were able to host a wedding at the house on time. The new contractor\u2019s work far exceeded the original contractor and he has since done wood floors in other properties I purchased and better work than expected.<\/p>\n As for the gentleman who damaged my floors, he still refuses to acknowledge the problems HE caused. Some due to his machine sander malfunctioned and he had to take it in for service. Even after he had it serviced, he tried to repair the damage and made it worse. The fact he messed up my floors and tried to yell at me like it was my fault or I was being too picky was bad enough. The prices he charged for the quality of work he delivered was highly disappointing to say the least.<\/p>\n I\u2019m genuinely grateful for Steve\u2019s honesty, knowledge, and thoroughness. I highly recommend him to anyone needing a true expert.
