My role in an inspection is to:<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00b7         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Gather facts, history of the complaint, take pictures, measurements, moisture readings, & perform field tests<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

\u00b7         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Get samples for lab testing if possible<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

\u00b7         <\/span><\/span><\/span>Look for the specific causes of problems<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

\u00b7<\/font>        <\/span><\/span><\/span>NOT discuss inspection findings with any one other than commissioning party or give opinions on site<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

\u00b7         <\/span><\/span><\/span>I ask questions to gather information; these are not to trick any party. 
<\/span><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

I take the findings & evidence to my office & use industry standards, guidelines, & technical information to:<\/o:p><\/font><\/font><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/font><\/o:p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Prepare a comprehensive report providing:<\/span><\/b><\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

  • Description of complaint\/problem<\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\n<\/li>\n
  • Job site description\/Product description<\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\n<\/li>\n
  • Claim\/Maintenance History <\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\n<\/li>\n
  • Detailed description of problem <\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\n<\/li>\n
  • Field and\/or lab test results (will require additional time & expense to have these performed)<\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\n<\/li>\n
  • Research applicable industry and\/or manufacturer installation\/maintenance standards <\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\n<\/li>\n
  • Find a conclusion based on collected data and field tests <\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\n<\/li>\n
  • Identification of responsible party<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    After the Inspection<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

    • I submit my findings, photos, & samples within 72 hours to the commissioning party ONLY!<\/b><\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\n<\/li>\n
    • Please don\u2019t call me to ask questions, I am NOT at liberty to discuss the inspection with any other party.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\n<\/li>\n
    • Please do not call me to inform me of your disapproval or disagreement (I WILL<\/b> terminate the call).<\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\n<\/li>\n
    • Please do not call to inform me that you have not received a copy of the report. <\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\n<\/li>\n
    • As an Inspector, I do not deny claims; I report information, gather evidence, field testing, & write a report.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\n<\/li>\n
    • I do not get involved in the politics of things once the inspection is complete & report is submitted.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\n<\/li>\n
    • Once I submit the floor inspection report, my work is completed as paid for initially; any further communication by any means will require additional payment in advance.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\n<\/li>\n
    • If you disagree with the report or findings, you<\/b> may hire an inspector to perform an inspection at your<\/b> expense.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\n<\/li>\n
    • Take things up with retailer or manufacturer after a second inspection is performed if the findings vary.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span>\n<\/li>\n
    • Arbitration, mediation, deposition, or litigation will require<\/b> a signed employment agreement & prepaid<\/b> retainer.<\/o:p><\/font><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
